"Dry" is the debut studio album by English singer-songwriter and musician PJ Harvey (at this point a band also called "PJ Harvey"), released on Too Pure Records on 30 March 1992. The album was recorded at The Icehouse, a local studio in Yeovil, United Kingdom from September to December 1991. The first 5000 LPs and first 1000 CDs included demo versions of the album's tracks. The album was subsequently released in the United States on Indigo Records in 1992.

Great pressing. Some groove sound and pops on side B. Nothing major. Very dynamic and in the room separation. Can’t be happier. What a ride this album is! Stunning.

Sounds good and punchy when the full band lets it rip, but quite a bit of surface noise that's obvious on quieter ages even after thorough cleaning.
Not a deal breaker but definitely could be better. I'm still happy to hear it on vinyl

What an incredible sounding LP! Well mastered, the soundstage is open, great low end and very well balanced. The re-issues don't come close. Raw and powerful - This is the one to have!

So this is probably the most badly warped new record I've ever experienced and I've been doing this a while. I noticed as soon as I dropped the stylus that something was off. Skipping and jumping all over the place on the first track. Wow, some poor quality control here. What a shame.

Original UK '92 press has more dynamics, clearer highs and tighter bass than later reissues, including the 2020 one.

I bought this although I have an original pressing...I saw it for 20 quid couldn't resist as its a fantastic album.

My analysis is that it is worth every penny.....the og press is more punchey and has some more clarity but I'm just an ordinary middle aged bloke not one of those audiophile nuts. If you can afford the og press well go for it but for the price of a few cans and a bag of chips get this.

Amazing sounding album ...one I reach for over and over again. This is a review for the original vinyl and not the reissues or bootlegs. Pricey now but worth every penny.
