Edited one year agoWhat an incredible sounding LP! Well mastered, the soundstage is open, great low end and very well balanced. The re-issues don't come close. Raw and powerful - This is the one to have!

Edited 2 years agoOriginal UK '92 press has more dynamics, clearer highs and tighter bass than later reissues, including the 2020 one.

Amazing sounding album ...one I reach for over and over again. This is a review for the original vinyl and not the reissues or bootlegs. Pricey now but worth every penny.

Edited 4 years agoGreat reissue.Great sound. No BULLSHIT. I'm so tired of the the thick, bulky tip on jackets, gimmicky colored wax, limited edition blah blah and lame bonus material that's mostly just filler with a lot of these reissues. Not to mention, the outrageous prices of some of them Not all reissues need to treated like they are an artifact for the Smithsonian. Keep them sounding good at 20 bucks a pop and I'm here for it.

There is (I assume) a boot of this, from about 20 years ago. It says ‘ Pur 10’ instead of ‘Pure 10’ on the spine, the spacing is different in name to the original press plus there are parts of the matrix scribbled out. Anyone know about this one? It’s black vinyl

Edited 5 years agoRegarding the version with one LP . . . I've had this LP for years, and it sounds amazing. It has always been rather quiet, and the mastering on a good system sounds live practically, like PJ and her band are in your living room. No sibilance at all, but that can often boil down to your needle -some handle sibilance way better than others. Had sibilance issues with other artists like Kate Bush, Lana Del Rey, Tori Amos (very hissy), but changed cart to a supposed "sibilance killer," and that issue is completely GONE now (thank God!) Very clear and lively separation of instruments/sounds. Not too high, not too low. No bleeding ears, nor is it ever too bass-y. I thought about selling it once, but glad I never did.

To the person asking if there are pressing issues on all of the, the answer is no. My copy sounds very clean, no pops or sibilance. No flaws. It sounds truly amazing. Hope this helps
