The Slovak National Symphony Orchestra – Hero Of Time (Music From "The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time")

If you're an avid collector of all LOZ, then this is great. If you want it because you want to listen to it then steer clear. One of the worst presses I've heard. Just listen to it off Spotify, the vinyl press has so much noise it is unbearable.

I recently bought it at a fair price on sale, and i was a bit worried reading all the bad reviews. I was releived while listeninh. Great pressing an no surface noise on my copy

These orchestral renditions of the classic themes are gorgeous but unfortunately a bit lessened by the very average - below average - pressing quality. The surface noise is so ridiculously high it could be a wind ambiance sound file applied to every track. It's a constant loud hiss that never goes away. Some pops here and there. Got it on sale for 35€ so I'll keep it but not impressed by the sound quality here.

Love the music, but they have done a really shoddy job on the audio pressing. Whoever approved this for sale probably didn’t listen to it first. I have a lot of vinyls, but this are among the worst so far 🤷‍♂️😰

iam8bit does everything great except for their choices of pressing plants. The sonics are great, packaging is top notch, pressing quality is fair to poor. Color is nice but the noise floor is terrible. I don't know what it is about them but every release I've gotten from them has the sound floor of a 1950's VG grade record and sounds like a persistent tape hiss. Their variants look cool but I wish they offered more of their releases in standard black vinyl because everything else about them is great.

I've been meaning to get around to do a review of this album, and here it is: This is a beautiful take on legendary themes from one of the best video game franchises in history. The orchestra provides another level and depth to the music behind the 8 - 64 bit platforms they originally launched. I consider this album, outside of a few moonshake releases, to be one of the best video game albums to be pressed and enjoyed on the vinyl medium.

I like the music, though not initially. I first felt it took too many liberties with the source material, but then I realized it was more of a reimagining. It sounds to me like what the score to the big budget, epic Hollywood adaptation of Ocarina of Time might sound like. It really grew on me over time.

This pressing, however, isn't amazing. I was starting to really like this record, but then I upgraded my speakers... This had the unfortunate side-effect of revealing to me how noisy and poppy the pressings are. That was a bit disappointing to discover.

Fantastic pressing just finished listening to “Dungeon Dwellers”. Such a good soundstage.

Not sure if this is an issue with anybody else’s copy, but there is a bit of a misprint on my sleeve for the second disc where the gold foil covers the final track on side c’s song list. Other than that, prettiest packaging I own!

This repress is phenomenal. I don’t know where to even begin?

Package: This without a doubt my favorite packaging to any pressing. I love the art work at every angle. It’s so colorful and detail.
Surface noise: next to none. Did they use virgin vinyl?
Dynamics: beautifully constructed! Knows when to be loud and knows when to be quiet.
Soundstage: It’s like sitting to a live Orchestra. It’s like you have VIP seats at Zora’s Domain.
Music itself: I don’t think even Nintendo themselves could top this. IAM8BIT really brought out the swan song out of OoT. This is up there as one of the best pressings I own.

If you can snag this copy at good price, get it before it’s too late.
