Notes
A special box set that includes the NieR: Automata Original Soundtrack Vinyl and NIER Gestalt & Replicant Original Soundtrack Vinyl. This box with four LP records includes a total of 35 tracks selected by the composer, Keiichi Okabe.
Early copies of the box set were sold exclusively at Japan's Tokyo Game Show in September of 2017.
While this box set has been described as a limited quantity run, there are no reports of how many copies were pressed. However, it is known that there have been multiple pressings, as evidenced in part by the inclusion in a number of copies of a sticker promoting the NieR 10th Anniversary campaign that took place in 2020.
Packaged in a clamshell box, the set includes each album in its own gatefold sleeve, with illustrations throughout the set by manga artist Taro Yoko on the box's lid. Each album in the set contains an insert with lyrics for each of their final tracks, another written comment by Okabe and Taro and album credits.

This OST is a bit disappointing, the music is too conventional and almost boring. What a marathon to listen to it entirely...
-
Edited 2 years agoI really wish there was Song Of The Ancient (Atonement) and Grandma (Destruction), this is for me some of the great highlights of Nier Autonoma's album...

Only 50€ (Black Friday offer I guess) -
IMHO, it's one of the best OSTs ever, and a must for a vinyl collector fan of the game ^_^.
I believe that every once in a while, Square does a reissue, I did buy it from the official store back in December 2020, for 62 €.
Maybe if they see enough people adding their email to the waiting list...

This edition is a bit like a compulsive fan purchase. It's expensive, it's not even a real album (by which I mean it's not David Bowie), but being a die-hard fan of Yoko Taro's games, I had to get it. So I was a bit afraid of getting a poor quality copy or something average.
But "que nenni", it's just amazing.
Regarding the quality: No surface noise, no cracks or anything, very clear sound. So obviously, everyone won't appreciate the music of this game (here it's mostly Okabe for the compilation) but concerning the treatment given to the disc itself, nothing to say, it's very good.
Regarding the packaging, I think it's simply the most beautiful vinyl I have, whether it's for the superb visuals, the bootleks, the lyrics, etc. It's what you would expect to get for a record that costs more than 30€, especially if it's a collector's item like this one.
A small regret however, the price which makes you cough and also some tracks like those of Emil which appear several times and which could have been replaced by others, absent.
In short, I highly recommend it if you can afford it. -
can anyone educate me as to why this would have pops and crackles even after a good clean and static removed? I don't want to spent money on a static gun if its not gonna help this record. it's one of my favorite to listen to but if the zerostat ain't gonna fix then I guess ill live with it.

Beautiful packaging for a flawed release. The Gestalt & Replicant discs are too quiet and a lot of the tracks are too short. The Automata discs sound great and feature decent length versions but miss out on some great tracks.

This sounds so good, like I don't think this OST has ever sounded as beautiful as it does through this format.
-
Like everyone else, my set is flawless. My only complaint is that it couldn't feature every track. I love this game and this soundtrack so much I would have gladly paid even more for another record or two in the set to fill out the tracklist more.
