Curiosly I have this EU-Edition, but with a barcode sticker over the printed barcode with 0 720642 46291 1?!? This should be the UK-Edition from 1994. But it's definitive this EU-Edition. Anyone who have the same issue?
In my opinion it's not a new remastered edition. They have cut this edition for vinyl using the original master tapes of 1994. On the back sleeve is note, that this is a "mastered" version. Later editions (e.g. the blue vinyl US-edition of 2018) have the note "remastered" instead of mastered.
But I agree of all positive reviewers, the sound is amazing, but I don't have compared it unfortunately to the new Halfspeed-Mastered version from November 2024. I will review this later...

I agree with other s the guitars sound much more crunchy, here. I also much prefer having "Surf Wax America" start side 2. Recommended pressing!

I’ve had a few different versions of this on LP (including the OG UK pressing) and this to my ears is by far the best version out there. Great clarity, punchy, warm without being too bass-y, def the best vinyl pressing of this kickass debut!!

This mix puts you on the sofa in Weezer’s rehearsal space playing their debut album live for you. Meta experience, mega sound.

I prefer this '320' mastering to the current in-print DMM reissue and the MoFi DSD-sourced edition. It's crunchier (mid-rangey) and more in-your-face.

Definitely sounds awesome. Way better than my DMM copy from Amazon. I like how the track listing is on here too.

This is the best way to listen to Weezer’s debut record. It’s cut from the master tapes, so it’ll sound just like a UK vinyl from 1994 without costing you $400. The guitars sound amazing on here, you can actually hear the BASS on Buddy Holly, and the intro to Only In Dreams will knock your socks off. This also has my preferred division of the album with The Sweater Song ending side 1 and Surf Wax America beginning side 2 (later pressings put SWA on the end of side 1. Seriously, the Sweater Song’s and piano chaos is the perfect way to end the first side.) this is definitely worth some $$, but don’t spend too much. $50 is a good asking price.
Bottom line, this is definitely worth spending an extra $20-30 because it blows the 2016 reissue out of the water. It may not be the “intended” way of listening to the album (cd & cassette were the way back in ‘94 and even in ‘02 when this edition was released) but this is definitely the way the songs SHOULD be listened to.

Best sounding pressing of the Blue album I've heard. I haven't compared it to the MoFi, but I have listened compared to recent digital remasters on black and colored vinyl and this one just blows them all out of the water. You can really hear the crunch of the guitars and the mix sounds about as uncompressed as this album is gonna get, Fantastic pressing, you can't go wrong.

Its the same than original copy of1994. For me, this is the Best pressing and better than the MOFI edition.
