My copy came without an inner sleeve and was battered to heck. Despite all the abuse it obviously had before I added it to my collection, it still sounds fantastic!
-
Not only a great album, but this record is one of the best sounding in my collection. Don’t hesitate to pick up this pressing if you have the chance.

Edited 10 months agoi collect and love vinyl because of sound quallity like this , this gets you as close to a religious experience vinyl can get ... its not just music this is a trip through Wonderland ... music 10/10 ...sound/sonics 11/10 ....( ortofon quintet red MC )

This pressing smashes my 1980’s US repress. The depth of soundstage and thumping low end are immediately noticeable. Found a VG+ copy for $30 in a local shop and feel like I scored…

I lucked into a very nice copy of this and gave it an ultrasonic bath. I must say, that while I have no other copies to compare it against, this thing sounds quite fantastic. Crisp. Clear. Thick and punchy bass. Great mix and balance.

This is an unbelievably good pressing and right up there with the best sounding records in my collection.

Edited one year agoPressed by Capitol Records in Los Angeles, this first run US pressing is extremely good, present, balanced with great separation and dynamics. Don't worry if you can't find a pristine UK 1U/1U copy - a clean one of these is right there with it. Differences are minimal - the UK 1U I have seems more "dense" and the US LA feels very slightly more "airy" - which was likely more of a mastering choice at the time than one feeling better than the other.
