I think it's fair to say this is Pink Floyd's first truly strong album post Syd-Barrett, and one that best captures their early 1970s sound. It's a bit of a hodgepodge of tracks, but overall the sound is a unified one. Fearless is one of my favourite Floyd Tracks, and One of These Days is a perfectly gritty piece of progressive rock. Of course, with access to the best in multi-tracked studio technology, they were able to pull off the epic feat that is "Echoes". Such a great journey through sound! An excellent album by and large.
