Edited 2 years agoI seem to be in the minority here but I just don’t get this pressing. It has a pretty muddy, veiled sound to my ear. There is no room for anything to breath. Almost like a very dry, dead reverb sound. The vocals feel pulled back and get buried. Everything is kind of fighting each other and gets lost. Not at all engaging. I have no other copy so maybe this is the mix and how they all sound?

Edited 2 years agoThe average song is "very good". Certain songs on this pressing though, are extremely good. Dig a Pony is insane, the instruments sound very live and powerful. This pressing has a ton of bass, about the same bass as the AP except this pressing feels slightly hotter, a bit less natural than the AP. For example, Two Of Us on the AP sounds like Paul and John are jamming in your kitchen, Two Of Us on this carries a touch of distortion on their voices.

Edited 2 years agoAfter listening to several pressings of this album, this one stands out as best to my ears. The AP-Japanese copy I had was abysmally muddy, and the TOJP copy from ‘92, though better, still sounded weak and subdued. Then I gave the Giles Martin remix a go, which came as a big sonic improvement, and especially shines on cuts like Two of Us and Across the Universe. Finally I found a clean copy of this EAS pressing. It beats the others, packing so much energy and dynamic range into each track. Despite the EAS series’ bass-shy reputation, this record has thumping bass. My search is over. I will say, the TOJP-Let it Be Naked makes a great companion piece to this AAA original mix. The two records together make an alternative “deluxe” package in place of the Martin remix release. The remix still sounds great in many respects, which is why I’ll make a gift out of it. But the real treasure for me is this EAS copy—I’ll hold onto it.

Just listened to this last night during a Let It Be listening fest (while reading my box set book) I listened to 5 different Vinyl versions of this album in one session...I absolutely love this version...The bass is amazing...the mix sounds fantastic and It is my favorite of the 5. That doesnt mean that the other ones are bad. But the sound along with the packaging makes this no. 1....

This is my go to copy of this album. I have a mid 70’s UK pressing, early US pressing, 2012 remastered and the 50th Anniversary. There is no comparison. This is the best version to me. The bass fat and round. Crisp clarity in the highs and warm mids. A must have for any Beatles fan

I just listened to my used copy I picked up in Japan back in 2005. This pressing sounds really good to me. My copy is really clean as well. Virtually no surface noise.

Edited 3 years agoGot this a couple of years ago. Superb sounding disc, makes sense being cut from a UK Master. The bottom end on the Title track is sublime. Floor shaking.

Excellent sound and really nice mastering, it's way clearer than I any of my UK copies sounding. A cheap way to get probably the best master of this last outing.
