Japanese series of Beatles reissues started in June 1976 (up to 1982).
Also known as the "Country Flag" series because of the flag of the country the LP was originally marketed in featured at the top of the unusually wide obi.
Catalogue numbers start with EAS and the series number is located on the Apple logo & at an angle at the bottom.

1-29: Apple Records (1976)
30-35: EMI/Odeon (1977-1980)
36-40 do not feature a flag (1980-82)
