This is for the serious Doors fans - probably not something the more casual fan would appreciate. If you love that early Doors sound on their first two records, you'll love this. If you love the Doors for their blues and jazz, this is it. Especially enjoyable as Jim is young, in incredible form and singing as ferocious as ever. Highlights for me include hearing the Doors as a jazz trio doing their take on Miles's "All Blues". Also love hearing a much younger band doing Crawling King Snake; of course they'd cut that for L.A. Woman six years later, but worlds apart from the band that played here as still unknowns in the grand scheme of things.

And of course the multiple performances of The End. The obsessive fans will love this.

Amazon currently have this in the UK anyway for £54, amazon is not the ideal place to buy records but if you want it and don't wanna break the bank. It's a real bargain at that price

Got mine from an Indie Store, not Amazon, and the contents unboxed perfectly. Also I had a relatively low number at #1878, so not sure if the later pressings were the issue or not. Sounds great for what it is, and I really digged side 6 with the 2 different versions of The End. well worth the on sale price I paid.

Got this, checked it - all records warped, crackle after washing on 3 sides - packed it, sent it back and bought the CDs for a fourth of the price and now I'm listening happily. Don't waste your money. It's a typical GZ Media pressing, with all the flaws to expect by this fact. Didn't have the time and patience to send it back over and over again until a decent issue is sent to me. Soundwise it's a good bootleg. Nothing more, nothing less. Mastering of the CDs is fine and does the atmosphere justice. No need to fall for vinyl FOMO here.

My copy had the 7" glued with the back of the box. I've unglued the back of the box, then removed the sleeve of the 7", remove the glue on the sleeve, and some glue on the 7" ! Then I had glued again the back of the box. What a mess ! But now, all is perfect.

almost didn't get this because of some of the comments. but i did it anyway and i'm very glad i did. reminds me of when i used to get bootleg cassettes in harvard square in the 80s. they had tons of doors shows. as well as many others.
i think it sounds exactly like you would expect a show from this time to sound like. especially given the recording source.

All the records warped :( . From Amazon.
I don't know how the records are stocked at Amazon but it's usual to receive warped vinyl from them.
                  It was my last try.
Well... Also, it's pressed by GZ Media... Maybe not the entire fault of Amazon this time :D

Number is OK , but if you expect to hear The Doors as we are getting used to know , then you're in fot a surprise .
It says in a 4 pages insert ( can't call it a booklet ) that thir sound is rough around edges , i.e. in another word they
sound OK , but nowhere near what they became later on .
Good document of a band in transformation by all means , but not a real deal . And I love The Doors !
