Its good but its not definitive. The bass IS too thick and eq'd up too much which skewers the balance and on top of this Lou is too far in the background and lacks presence. The balance is just abit, well, wrong! Its still a good listen but its not a well balanced presentation. I actually think the more recent Lou approved remaster is better overall even if the packaging is not as nice as this and the pressing itself not as quiet. The problem ive got is no one single vinyl edition or CD ive heard gets everything right! So its a case of choosing the one that suits your own tastes

Edited 2 years agoDamn this sounds so good. Worth every penny spent. Dead quiet with incredible mastering.

One of the best sounding pressings I've ever heard on my life.
Impeccable soundstage, basses that will shake your floor, mids that breathe to life and highs that chill on your spine.
A perfect mastering!
PS: the drums on Andy's Chest will KICK YOU IN THE FACE -
It’s a rainy Sunday and I’m cataloguing. Just been through six dead records in a row. Lovely character to this pressing. The bass coming over a little loud for me. But it’s got great energy and has a lovely analogue characteristic. Think I’ll leave this one to play through.

Great sound, shame my sleeve's got a dinged corner because someone at Hermes clearly dropped the package.

Wow is right. What a fantastic sounding album. Having very good luck with most of my SC pressings - and this one is easily in the top group.
