Just picked up a pristine copy of this Mastersound. I now have a few of this Mastersound series and they are generally a significant step up in sound quality. Mine has none of the issues mentioned. No skips, no issues whatsoever. I'm surprised this doesn't have a higher rating. It sounds fantastic and easily beats my regular OG copy. The guitar rifts are soaring, and the bass is deep and tight. Can't imagine this sounding better. The 2010 Kevin Gray remaster very well might beat it, but it is out of my price range

I got a normal European pressing which has the same error. It does skip, as there is a tiny, nearly invisible bump on the spot. So there have to be a lot of erroneous pressings around.

streetlights comes in way to early the first time - can't even hear the full word "Streetlight" - anybody else here it?

"Their shadows searchin' in the night (cuts off way too short here) Streetlights, people"

Mine skips on the first song too. Got to really be listening to hear it, the phrase runs together to tight and then keeps going no problem after that.

This sounds better than the mofi release. It hammers home.

My copy plays fine and I've had mine since 1981. This may sound silly, but try recalibrating your tonearm and possibly a different stylus. Some needles can be finicky. I've had an occasional record skip on one turntable and not on another.

I've puchased two of these and it skips on Don't Stop Believing! They screwed up with the recording or something. Sigh.
