Funny that Greg spent some time, money and imagination on the cover art but when it came to sound quality he went to the Grade Z shed. I have a soft spot for Pebbles because they were one of the first and back then that was all there was ... but in the 21st century we should be asking for a bit more.

Interesting compi, but as mostly, the sound quality is amazingly lousy. WORD (11)!

...ok, so you`ve already bought Pebbles Vol 1 - 9, then you obviously shouldn`t miss that one, too! Ok, maybe the sound is even a little more f*** up than on the volumes before......and maybe not every song is an ultimate killer, but there are still enough gems to make the money worth it: The "Foggy Notions" song "Need a little lovin`" has some brutal drums and a killer bass under some folkish vocals, the "Ugly Ducklings" "just in case you`re wondering" is a well known classic and the "Wig/Wags" "I`m on my way down the road" is one of those smashers you must be wondering why this wasn`t a huge hit when it was released. Finally you even find the "Human Expression" and the "Groupies" anthem "Primitive" on side B. Not to forget the beautiful cover artwork.
