Another top drawer release from Eye Q just shows you their sound was light years ahead of its time, just like Harthouse their releases sound timeless.
Where do i start? well i guess the first track Virtual Symmetry - The V.S. will be known to most people as the piano track off Oakenfolds Goa mix 1994, The Orange Theme was plastered over tons of trance mixes on its release, I first heard it on Carl Cox Fact mix in 1995, still a great opening track.
Alienated is a decent goa trancer and the bonus is you get the earth mix which is the best version, m-zone opened up a retrospective set at Hindsight with this in 2000, others one to note; superstring - which got re-released and remastered on technogold by akira inc, countless plays from John Digweed back in the day, (got wrongly listed on the Northern Exposure 2 mix cd) Firedance another additioon to Ralf Hildenbeutels ever expanding CV, again this track was remastered and released on Fog Area records in 1999 (and on one of its sister labels by Dj Tibby) you'll recognize it instantly by the riff.
Who could forget Brainchild - Symmetry? ok, the lange breakbeat mix wins it hands down but this version still sounds fresh and rekindles memories of carl cox, oakenfold in their prime....God i miss those days ;(
Another cracking compilation (dj friendly which is all good) and cheap to buy also, this music still sounds fresh as f**k over twenty years on ;)

What do you mean "none of these artists are really big"? You're either a young kid born too late for anything good, or someone who discovered trance too late again...but i'll tell you what, these are the biggest names in the history of trance and legends of a genre...so before you make such silly statement again, research a little bit more.

I love this compilation, because one of the greatest trance tracks is included here. "Firedance" (the sunrise) from "Odyssee Of Noises". Ralf Hildenbeutel wrote many classics, but this is a master piece! I love this track. :)
Stevie B-Zet is the other great trance producer on this compilation.

This is a hypnotic compilation of trance of like I hadn't heard before. The song that got me interested in the first place was Stevie Be-Zet's Blue Illusion (this song circles around p2p networks as Orbital's). So I ordered it, and was surprised that the whole album was full of great music, dispite the diversity.

There's Superstring by Cygnus X for example, that I hadn't heard before (yeah, I'm sure anyone who knows anything about trance will chuckle about that one :P).. and another song by him plus a whole slew of other great trance tunes, that just don't seem to get old.

None of these artists are really big, besides Cygnus X perhaps, but none of the tracks are bad either. Highly recommended.
