What do you mean "none of these artists are really big"? You're either a young kid born too late for anything good, or someone who discovered trance too late again...but i'll tell you what, these are the biggest names in the history of trance and legends of a genre...so before you make such silly statement again, research a little bit more. -
This is a hypnotic compilation of trance of like I hadn't heard before. The song that got me interested in the first place was Stevie Be-Zet's Blue Illusion (this song circles around p2p networks as Orbital's). So I ordered it, and was surprised that the whole album was full of great music, dispite the diversity.
There's Superstring by Cygnus X for example, that I hadn't heard before (yeah, I'm sure anyone who knows anything about trance will chuckle about that one :P).. and another song by him plus a whole slew of other great trance tunes, that just don't seem to get old.
None of these artists are really big, besides Cygnus X perhaps, but none of the tracks are bad either. Highly recommended.
