Music Hall Music Description

A popular form of entertainment in British theatre in the nineteenth and early twentieth century. It consisted of a series of performances by comedians, singers, and dancers. The term is derived from a type of theatre or venue in which such entertainment took place.

The somewhat analogous French/American vaudeville has its own tag now.
