Most NON-U.S. CD's are NOT shrink-wrapped. Please note the Country Of Origin for this determination. Example: If the Country Of Origin is UK, the CD MAY not be sealed or shrink-wrapped, but is still NEW. In such instances jewelcases may have slight markings from shelfwear and storage.
I DO NOT GRADE JEWELCASES AS THEY ARE EASILY SCRATCHED AND EASILY REPLACEABLE. CLEAR DESCRIPTIONS, NO SURPRISES!
CDs either play perfectly or they don't, in which case their value is minimal. CDs are difficult to grade visually: they can look perfect but actually be faulty, while in other cases they may appear damaged but still play perfectly. Therefore grading CDs is pretty much absurd as there is no deterioration of sound quality as with vinyl records. This idea of grading CDs is a ridiculous holdover from vinyl. It makes no sense!
CD inlays and booklets are graded in the same way as record covers and sleeves. In general, the plastic containers for cassettes and CD jewelcases can easily be replaced if they are broken or scratched, but card covers and digipaks are subject to the same wear as record sleeves.
