I just got a copy and like others here have posted the pressing and mastering is exceptional. It may be the alltime best analog mono pressing. It has better sound than my Sundazed reissue (which sounds almost as good as a US Verve original). The only other mono pressing I would love to check out and compare this '78 reissue to would be an original UK mono.

This is the absolute best way to listen to this album. Absolutely unreal master, this thing sounds as dirty and filthy as it should, without some of the unintentional distortion from the stereo master. This pressing absolutely does the album justice in that department. It's hard to find, but absolutely worth your dollar

Listening to this, I’m in awe. This is a fantastic record, the mono mix is so dirty and this cutting is absolutely fantastic. It’s strange how the original Verve stereo cutting left a lot to be desired, while the mono cutting is a masterpiece.
I’m so lucky to have found this at a fantastic price, and now i have a gem that I will never part with considering how much an original 1967 verve mono pressing goes for.
The jacket is pretty nice too, the spine is true to the original unlike the later 1985 pressing -
Edited 7 years agoAs you may note from the stats, this record has never sold here for more than $75 and is routinely priced around the $30 mark in all brick and mortars I've seen in the New England area. Prices beyond those are ridiculous and without precedent. Don't pay them.
