Thorough listen to sides A/B: Sounds ok. Doesn't seem to be proper separation of instruments like what I'm used to from this album; everything runs blends together. It's not the end of the world but it's not the NOLA I'm used to.
Sides C/D: Got a lemon. When looking over the vinyl for runout numbers to do my catag, I could see tiny bumps, almost what looked like bubbles, over the entire vinyl on both sides. Was hoping it wouldn't impact playback but I didn't luck out. Loud parts are mostly fine, but the quiet parts, like the intro and interlude on Eyes of the South, suck to listen to. Jail is borderline unlistenable when these bumps hit. I'm sure the rest will be the same.
This is about the only album I ever planned on buying a new pressing while waiting to eventually buy an original pressing, so it'll just have to do for now. -
Killer record, solid pressing, no question. The guitars cut through with lots of harmonic detail and meat, drums have punch and clarity. Very quiet background, little to no surface noise. This whole thing sounds stellar.

This album is a huge part of my youth. Absolutely stoked to have it on vinyl. Sounds fantastic on my set up.

Edited 4 years agoAnyone else struggle with little to no bass sound on this? I’m having to crank my tone controls

Edited 4 years agoI bought this new today at a local store and inside it had two duplicate copies of C-D vinyl. No A-B inside.

Quite possibly the best quality record I own, great pressing.
Sounds amazing, even on my budget setup. -

anyone else got this with the Lyric sheet from "Down II"? I ordered it twice, both copies had the wrong insert.
