Edited 5 years agoIf you're a fan of ambient and techno, this is such a quality album for the price. I bought mine near mint for $5, which is a steal for the quality of the 2xLP pressing and for the music itself.
It's the furthest they've strayed from their debut album, "Attack Decay Sustain Release", so fans seem to overlook it. However, it's become my favorite record of theirs. Also, it was recorded live in 2 or 3 takes per track, but the output is studio quality. Definitely a something to appreciate as an electronic music fan and a fan of live performance.
Start with Calyx, Jam Side Up, and Dervish to see if it's your jam before buying. Nazard gives me huge Halo 2 vibes with the mood. Very cool and underrated record IMO. Fans of Boards of Canada's "Tomorrow's Harvest" will appreciate the dark, deserted, spacey vibes on this.
