UPDATE!! just got a near stone mint copy of this lp that is a wlp, has the regular obi and a thinner second red obi that was issued to represent the ufo tour in japan in 1971 wich was recorded for the live in japan record that was released in 1972, never in all my decades collecting have i seen THIS lp complete as a wlp with both the regular obi as well as the 1971 japan tour obi and of coarse the lyric inner. fantastic shape for a 48 year old record.....

ps sorry, the thick obi strip is black with yellow text!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

update regarding my previous review from a couple of years ago regarding this japan lp, as i still do not have or have never seen a red vinyl copy of this ( i have the first ufo 1 lp on stateside japan on red vinyl but still never saw one for this second ufo lp on stateside) i just got a copy of this today with the full on thick orange obi strip, i have had a copy of this for about 30 years now WITHOUT the full on obi, just the thin red obi and lyric inner, the copy i got today has the full thick orange obi strip but no lyric inner and no thin red obi, i now after collecting ufo for almost 40 years feel my ufo collection is all but complete!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! again i still stress THIS WAS/IS the hardest japan ufo lp to find complete with obi , lyric inner and all, since i have two copies now with all the works i am complete, of coarse i could take the thick orange obi off this one and put it on my other copy with the thin red obi w/ the insert but having it this way in the form of two copies has made me very satisfied!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! if i find a copy on red wax w/ obi & all i will go for a third but again about 40 years into collecting ufo i have never seen one of these on red wax, only the first one called ufo 1 in japan from 1970.............. also the japan stateside edition of live in japan wich was released in 1972 on stateside is a beauty as well..........................this was released in 1971 and i strongly feel not many where pressed......................

there was also red vinyl, no differences in the sleeve, obi, matrix etc. No way for customers(shops) to know what they would get from the distributor and only way for customers to know was to look inside before purchasing. Records were not sealed. and of course white label promo.

These were also released in dark red vinyl as well

this was the second ufo lp released in japan in 1971, this lp sounded nothing like the first lp ufo 1, this lp was very spaced out and is a total krautrock record as ufo where big in via ufo 1 wich was a bluesy hard rock record, THIS JAPAN edition has a very unique to japan only sleeve and is probably the hardest ufo record ( pre michael schenker) you can find, i have this one as well as the original uk lp from 1971 original pressing on beacon records but in europe this lp was titled FLYING, in japan this lp on stateside records was more commonly called UFO 2 again very hard to find and a very unique to japan only sleeve...............
