I just did a comparison tonight of this re-issue and my original 1982 Robert Ludwig - Masterdisk pressing. The 1982 RL pressing is hands-down much better. More punch and authority. The 2015 re-issue is a bit subdued and muted.

Lucked out on my copy from Discogs. pop.market sold three sealed copies for $28.96 between 3/9/23-3/10/23. What a deal. Compared to my original 1982 and this QRP/AP reissue is just wonderful. How will it sound compared to the 40th anniversary DMM halfspeed that's incoming?

Got my Version from a staffmember of Anthem Records. So this is a very Special piece in my Collection

Sorry, I really wanted this to be a winner, but I prefer my original 1982 US pressing. This sounds like a CD in comparison.

Edited 7 years agoHands down the album that defined my pre-teen and teen years. I bought the album and saw the tour when I was 12. The band was already a hit w/ me with Exit and Pictures and even with the change in direction w/ added synths and lyrics this albums kicks ass. Clearly the older stuff is tops Hemispheres is probably my favorite album but the writing both lyrically and musically on this album is incredible. Enough blah blah, buy it or pull it and play it.
