Edited 7 years agoDecent pressing. The music sounds full and vibrant, but the record is pressed extremely quiet. The album already suffers from a little too much surface noise and having to crank it way up only magnifies the issue. I just bought a new copy off of Amazon and am assuming it's the second, superior pressing. My copy has no warping issues and while the run-in likes to jump a few seconds into the song, it only took me 2-3 tries on each side to drop it so that it played the full intro of the first song.
The sleeve is a sturdy gatefold, but not super thick. Great black and white shot of the band inside the gatefold. -
I have this pressing of this album and it is one of the best sounding records I own. It is so clean and clear. It is a beautiful white color and truly is white. There was no warp in my copy and everything was spot on. Such a great press and album.

Edited 9 years agoI have the white version and 2 copies - 1 was a replacement because the first was so warped it affected play. I didn't have run in issues as noted here but both copies are very warped. Limited sampling with just my two of course, and it's possible this happened in shipping but that aside this still is not a good pressing. The replacement copy definitely sounded better as it wasn't as badly warped - warping doesn't affect play but it is not a good master to start with either. It's a shame, I don't have every single release from them but I have a handful (Bones, Recover RSD, Under the Tide RSD) and this is by far the worst sounding of the 4.

US pressings seem to have a bad run-in on side A. No matter where I drop the needle it jumps a few seconds into the first track. I ended up with the coke bottle and white US pressings and both have the issue.
My turntable is properly set up; I don't have this issue with other vinyl.
Anybody else notice this?
