For those looking for more of the sweet touches of Ludovic Navarre's (St Germain, Soofle, etc.) production and enginerering skills you should pick up copies of all the early Shazz releases. In particular this little gem from the mighty FNAC Dance Division. 'Lost Illusions (Joli Mix)' is my go to track on this classy EP. A reflective, teasing track hinting progressively at the sparks from the 808's as they eventually fade in. This was the opening cut on the FNAC compilation 'La Collection' and set the scene beautifully for what was to come on that exemplary round up of Eric Morland's Paris based label.
