VOLUME 1 & 2, the final entry from Deepside (better known as St. Germain) compiles two EPs, both of which stick with his Euro-techno adventures, from the acid rave workout of “Furioso” to the smoother clonks and African samples of “Lukuta.” “Additional Elements” goes more downtempo, while “Chanel House” and “June” aims for tech-house. “Jack on the Groove” draws upon some jackin’ house elements, though not as energetically as you’d suspect. It’s good enough, but not really where his strengths lie.
