Edited 10 months agoAnother flawless genius level work from the Fall. Look no further than the three-song run near the top. First, the evil-sounding absolute banger -- easily one of the heaviest Fall songs -- Neighborhood of Infinity. It transitions seamlessly to Garden, a great, intellectual mood track which establishes its groove and lives in it until the listener is sold. Then, you get Hotel Bloedel, one of the prettiest Fall songs. Brixe turns in her best Fall vocal while Mark layers it over with poetry. Possibly the best song of the bunch. What a wonderful record.

Very few "rock" albums can claim that they cover the distance from experimental/underground sound up to the margins of, let's call it, conventional rock. Perverted By The Language manages that and some other (no coincedence of course) Fall releases too. Wow//

The first Fall album I bought (at the time of first release) and one that made a really strong impression. I love everything about it, especially the weirdness and the pink album cover. Eat y’self fitter!
