I made an impulse buy from Movie Mars who charged me 50 bucks for this record. Movie Mars has lots my business for good.

Great-sounding pressing of a great album. I'm so glad to have finally gotten a post-HYF Rush album for a reasonable price! Seems like it only took one seller to drive down the price of this one in early May and has since sold quite a few copies on Discogs; hopefully the idiot scalpers charging $150 CAD for "Roll the Bones" and $341(!) CAD for "Test for Echo" learn a lesson from that and reduce prices for the rest of Rush's later studio albums.

The remix is a very nice improvement over the original 2002 release, which I only had on cd so maybe not even a fair fight... lol

Great pressing. Sounds great. Only issue, as described below, is that the sleeve should have been a gatefold.

Oh and I know people worry about surface noise so I just want to assure you that this pressing has no surface noise whatsoever! I was very surprised since I know other albums I have has plenty surface noise

Sounds phenomenal! Vapor Trails was like my first album growing up so it has that nostalgia factor but other than that, it's just a pretty banging album! There's a deeper darker story behind this, with this album being made off the cusp of a tragedy, it's a ghostly reminder of what was. But almost heroically, it also serves as Rush's return to the limelight! I grew up and loved the album with my heart. I never really noticed any issues sonically until the Remix came in 2013 and I was more than eager to hear what Rush had in store for us now. Surprisingly it was a whole different listening experience! same music, same recordings, but just remixed a little (or a lot!) and you got a completely new sounding album! This remix does the original so much justice, I'd say it's a must have for people new to Rush and long term fans.
Now as for the vinyl pressing, it sounds amazing! I know with vinyl it's a risk because sometimes you can get a bad pressing but Rush has never failed me yet! Even though I already have the CD, I was a little disappointed to know that there wasn't a digital along with it. Also, it's double LP so why no gatefold! Extra room to display Hugh Syme's fantastic art! But oh well. It was still totally worth it
