It shocks me that no one has commented on this. This is a fantastic track. I still can't believe that this was made in 1992. The production still stands up fairly well today.
The track itself is based on a Simple Minds "New Gold Dream" sample. This is cleverly worked and gives the track a trance feel. Given i was only 11 when this was released i assume this would have been part of the Euro rave invasion going on at the time and would have been the "techno" counterpart to "rave". This along with the likes of T99 "Anaesthesia", Joey Beltram "Energy Flash", Age Of Love "Age Of Love" were the tunes that broke away from the rave template.
The track is pounding. It really does kick, and it really does sound good. It has a nice rolling bassline too. Theres also a vocal snippet which i think is from Total Recall, but i havent seen that film in ages so can't be too sure.
A classic track that usually gets the remix treatment every couple of years, Mason has done a particularly good version of it.
