This is a really solid drone record, beautiful textures and tones. Shame it's not available on vinyl. -
This record is absolutely gorgeous. Stephan Mathieu has had an impressive career in his specific style of sound design, and what he does with Sylvian's raw material is breathtaking. A wash of beautiful textures and drone, as Sylvian continues to restlessly explore his art and seek new forms and beauty.

It has became a nightmare.... David Sylvian seems to have gone mad. He just keeps on producing his unlisteneable garbages during the last period. Blemish was a real disappointment, Manafon was simply disgusting, Died in the Wool is the remix of the shit and guess what is this: more or less the background sonic-textures of the Blemish, his one of the worst album. No singing but the boring drones, ambient effects. It's ok, if you are not a D.S. fan but Sylvian has already released much better ambient stuff by now.
