Text from the record jacket:
"Be forewarned. Used to be an Experience meant making you a bit older. This one makes you wider. With the assistance of Mitch Mitchell (on drums) and Noel Redding (on guitar), Jimi Hendrix breaks the world into interesting fragments. Then reassembles it. You hear with new ears, after being Experienced. Those who've only seen him perform only know part of This Experience. They rave about a young man who plays a guitar in more positions than anybody before him. Now, this debut album will put the heads of Hendrix' listeners into some novel positions. Be forewarned."

Loud, clear and raw. I have an EX to NM- copy. I can only speak for my copy but this did not disappoint. I have variant 9 of this pressing. I don’t have a 1967 to compare this to but do not regret this purchase.

Edited 3 months agoI have a 1st mono that I compared this to. 1st mono sounds better. Louder and more punchy. This is a quiet press. Not a bad press. But there is better out there.

Also very impressed with this 1968 repress. Very good sound quality. If you don’t need to own a first pressing then this is a great alternative. Enjoy!

Very impressed with this pressing! I haven’t heard a first pressing, but I also have the 2010 Sony remaster. Not sure what I was expecting here, but it’s a great listen!
