I've red far to much detailed beating on this release not cutting the mustard.
The digital mastered production file us what is offered to preproduction to press.
This album file or mastering process might take years fir remastered version like Ten also Vs remasters are such the impressive improvements were made to the overall soundstage to both these pressings.
Why the hell Pearl Jam management team get this so wrong with this release seems ridiculous after previous disasters. -
I don't know why it was necessary to produce a hundred million-zillion different fancy colored versions. They would have rather stayed only with plain black, which would have given a decent mix/master. Today's youngster "sound engineer" and "producer" kids have no idea what an album should sound like. I'm so sick of this album and I'm so disappointed even though the songs and the band are sensational!

Edited one year agoPeople are jumping the gun with out looking at details. The GZ media pressings are pretty spotty and also not cut particularly well. The cuts by Matt Colton are pretty great. Yes when 3 guitars are thrashing is gets busy but that is the nature of the bands sound, and in some instances it is 4 guitars. The RTI US versions and I would gather the Euro Pallas sound very good. I am able to crank the audio up with no distortion using an ortofon blue through a Cambridge Duo into an Onkyo and Klipsch speakers. This is not a high end audiophile release but the Matt Colton cuts are pretty strong. Gotta look what you are getting. The RSD and the local variants are pretty subpar.

GOSH. How does a band this big and with their resources allow their mastering of an album to be this terrible?!
My LP is flat, clean, and silent - pressing is great, but the mastering of this album (CD, digital, LP all the same) is criminal. Really too bad...

Can someone add the official Pearl Jam website variant of this LP release? (Ten Club red/black LP variant)
