Edited one year agoAmazing album and great overall release. The vinyl looks and sounds great, very dynamic for a death metal album.

Edited one year agoStunning vinyl, the yellow/orange marble-style just POPS for me and goes with the cover art, just beautiful. The sound is amazing as well, this thing CRANKS. I don't have an original pressing to compare it to (way out of my budget) but I would guess this has to be right up there sound-wise.

"Massive Killing Capacity" is a classic OSDM in the canonical Swedish style. In a way, the band and its albums are the epitome of the genre. It was here that the musical form of Dismember was finally formed, we can say that the vertical growth ended, and then the horizontal began. Compared to the previous two releases, this album sounds very strict and calibrated . The rhythmic parts sound heavy, but carefully, while the mood of the tracks is greatly changed by melodic solo parts, the number of which will only increase from album to album.
The reissue of the album took a very long time. Apart from the extremely dubious release from BoB, 28 years have ed between the first vinyl release of the album and the reissue. The mastering for this release is done at a very high level, excellent balance and separation of instruments, the heaviness and dynamic of the sound is saved, the solos are accentuated. This album sounds like it should sound on analog media. Vinyl plays cleanly, looks cool - the best color design of the three available. In of design, everything is quite standard, the cover has a good resolution, for unknown reasons, it was also cropped on the insert and there is already a slightly blurred image. Otherwise, this is a good regular release, the main advantage of which is the music and the nature of its sound. -
Edited one year agoIncredible pressing of an incredible album! I would suggest to any Dismember fan that this is the version you will want when going for this album! Absolutely beautiful sound, nothing wrong with it at all. The artwork is spot on perfect! I really love my copy. You cannot go wrong with this! You will be playing air guitar along to this the whole way through!
