If i had to choose only one album among those of rock progressivo italiano I would take this one. I do not mean that Banco Area Pfm and others have done less important things but that this record is half a miracle: a team of no-pro players that wins the most ambitious cup. Here all the typical stylistic features of the RPI, plus you can almost smell the new wave coming after a few years. The attitude is great as the compositions of their songs. They managed to make simple the very complicated sounds of their genre.
How a bunch of amateurs managed to achieve such results in an italian studio at the beginning of the seventies remains a mystery that we are not interested in uncovering.. just listen Alphataurus! -
A part from le stelle di mario schifano (a different thing), this is the best italian prog rock record ever in my (not so) modest opinion.
A meteor band making a miracle..
A mint first issue original copy has to cost a lot like every piece of real big art! -
