#6535 I've never listened to the original. I bought this particular version because it visually replicates the original. Bonus purple vinyl. For my taste the sound is great.

so i'm logging shit into discogs one night
and i pull this out to my surprise
such a lil treat to yourself -
This is a nice version with quiet vinyl. I appreciate that it replicates the original first issue sleeves and poster, but on colored vinyl. Sound-wise, it's important to note: if you prefer a thicker, bass-heavy guitar sound, the 2015 Sanctuary version is a better choice (be aware, the 2015 vinyl has significant surface noise). This version offers a balanced, clean sound, perhaps even a bit too sparse for this hard metal album. If the 2015 version had quiet surfaces, I would likely prefer keep that version!

Edited one year agoYears ago I owned the NEMS version which I bought in the 80s.
This version was clear punchy and a joy to listen too. This album was lost, stolen or lent out so i replaced it with the 2015 reissue: what a disappointment dull and lifeless.
I am now the proud owner of the 2021 RSD release and I love it absolutely how this album should sound. If you can’t afford or can’t find a first issue English pressing then I would recommend this version wholeheartedly.
The real bonus is the replica carton sleeve with poster and of course the purple disc.
The poster is a lot smaller than the original which is a small gripe tbh. I have added some cardboard to help keep the cartons shape for storage. Mine is 0892 -
Bought it 2 weeks ago. Number 0964! It's a great reissue and much cleaner than my 2015 reissue (bought used).

N°1390. Fine remix and remastering. Each instrument is clear, detached, a real pleasure listening this record on hi-fi stuff.

I’ve just bought the last copy I can find anywhere in New Zealand. Paid almost twice the RSD price ughhhh!! Serves me right for being too slow to the party. #6267
