Compared to Todd's earlier work, I feel this one falls a bit short. While the covers are objectively well done, in my opinion, it feels more like filler. Side two makes the record, as his original work shines, and showcases the uniqueness of TR's ability to craft amazing rocking songs along with his smooth ballads. Again, in context of Something/Anything, A Wizard/True Star, and Todd, Faithful just feels like filler. It's not terrible, but I know it could be better.

Easy to find record. The covers are fun. Todd’s originals are funner, filled with recognizable tracks. If you’re a Todd fan you should have this on vinyl. Original US pressings are dirt cheap. If you are into sound quality, are an audiophile, or just like to spend more money, the best sounding vinyl pressings are the Japanese release (with obi) and the relatively new Music On Vinyl pressing.

This is a good record in of sound and production, with the sound being very direct rock. Side one is covers. Side two originals. "Strawberry Fields" is a cover highlight, as is "Rain" - both are rocking and show Todd's love for Lennon. Side two opens with a bang with "Black and White," a very hard rocking number, and the rest of the songs are unique and quirky rock pop craftworks in keeping with TR's best work. My only issue is the covers and originals are a jarring juxtaposition, and as a personal matter of taste, cover albums are not usually my favorite.
