Good album, my stars do not discredit the work, on the contrary they position it in the fair qualification that it should be; Gigaton is a good record. no more no less. Following the classic line of P J with some quotas of modernized sound as in "Dance Of The Clayrvotans" where the subtly electronic production stands out. One more album, but not one less album either. Maybe yes, not the most relevant in the group's career.

Why does it have so much keyboards on it is my main concerns with this record. Rock doesn't need keyboards especially not the synths. We can't call it a rock record. Pearl Jam means rock ffs. Too much of Pink Floyd and prog rock etc. I guess.

didn't buy it, good album but i have stopped participating to price inflation of vinyl. Seriously, 35 euros minimum for the standard LP, no way. When i began to buy LPs in 2011, deluxe editions were sold at 19 euros.

Well it is Pearl Jam, if you liked it you will like it (one or the fifth time you listen to it). But if you taste Rock and you are not "pearljamero" you should stop on songs like "Quick Escape" and "River Cross" that are more symphonic; or "Comes then goes" with its unplagged wave even if you have a couple of minutes left. However, "Retrograde" is undoubtedly the sured, although it sounds a contradiction. It's worth it, at least send a couple of songs to your rescued of the year. -
Edited 5 years agoI have two copies of the “in the midst of the 6th” engraved version. Would anyone like to swap with the “is this you” variant? Cover is damaged so just the vinyl. I’m in the UK.

Edited 5 years agoI had to exchange my copy because lp1 had some strange little warps that were audible as rumble noise. Second copy has now arrived, still with strange hissing noises on LP1, first track and now with a nasty non fill on LP2 in Retrograde.
For almost 40 bucks this sucks deeply. -
My Copy had a nasty piece of Glue on the very start of Side A, only for I spotted it I would be having Stylus damage.
The record itself sounds fantastic and I love it personally. It's certainly a grower too. -
