Great pressing. Clean, quiet and a terrific master. Makes for a fun listening experience since it's historically a pretty roughly mixed album, and this ain't no remix! all the flaws are there in bright, clear detail. check it out.

My first copy sounded horrible. I almost explicitly own coloured vinyl releases from U2 (Boy, October, Unforgettable Fire, Zooropa, HTDAAB, NLOTH, Songs of Innocence and Experience), all of them hands down superb quality, but the Pop release had a lot of pops, cracks and it skips every now and then (especially on the first disc). Absolute waste, because the mastering is excellent.
Update: bought a second copy and that one sounds superb! -
This is an outstanding pressing that's mastered exceptionally well and sounds incredible on my system.
I've owned the CD since it was originally released way back in the day when I was a teenager. I must have played that in excess of 1000 times and this record is the best I've ever heard these songs.
The sound is warm and inviting with excellent bass and stereo separation. It fills the room with twists and turns from left to right, giving the impression of more than just 2 speakers, with Bono's voice seemingly emanating from a non existent centre speaker.
The bassline on if God will send his angels, combined with those gorgeous guitar effects, it's treat to behold. Miami sounds insane. Every track is brilliant with stunning clarity.
Curiously there is what looks like a small pubic hair pressed into my copy on side one track three! I'm not even joking. When it wouldn't wipe off I thought it would completely ruin the track. I was pleasantly surprised to hear absolutely no issue during in playback.
If I ever come to sell it I may say it's Bono's. -
Pop Muzik could be feature as bonus track on POP album with Holy Joe, North And South Of The River, Your Blue Room and Happines Is A Warm Gun on the D side, the original album could be on the A B C sides.

Not sure what everyone else is on about… my copy is absolutely dead silent, flat as a pancake… and the sonics are amazing. Warm, full, no siblance… feels like listening to the tapes… I’ve heard the CD version of this album countless times and this vinyl pressing has brought me such joy. Finally a version the best represents this beautiful, wild and highly underrated album. U2 at it’s weird, unabashed, wild best. Don’t miss it.

Apart from 4 or 5 pops at the start of side 1 and a pop at the start of side 2, this release sounded great on my system. I haven't heard or owned any other Vinyl pressing so I can't compare it.
-
Pressing quality is absolutely dreadful, plagued by loud pops and bzz sounds. It was unlistenable and I had to return it. Shame, because the sound quality seemed good.
-
Can anyone attest if the mix / sound of this version is louder than last year's reissue? (I had no issue with the pressing, but definitely had to crank it up compared to the other reissues).
