For me, this is one of SOAD's best albums. The sound on my copy is perfect. It has a near-perfect pressing. Purchased from Revolver Records (Barcelona).
-
Honestly I have not listened to this SOAD album in years so I don't how the CD sounds. This pressing is ok, but where the f... are you bass. No punch at all there. Otherwise I don't hear any distortion and highs + guitars sound really nice.
-
Compressed but not ina bad way tbh. Suits the vinyl vibe as well. Inner groove distortion was not excessively noticeable on my cooy and I'm really picky with those kind of things. So I guess it depends on your gear or batch.

Edited 2 years agothe remix makes this sound better than digital, i no longer have the issue of havign to choose between the vocals being too loud or the instrumental being too quiet
there are some compression artifacts visible on the cover and some of the lyrics *printed on the sleeve* are censored, but those arent rly that big a deal
edit: i cant find anything about this being remixed anywhere but clearly somethings different so idk whats going on -
Everyone seems to have different experiences with this pressing. In my case it's mostly fine but it sounds very thin, no real oomph to it. On the other hand: my pressing of Toxicity is significantly better. I guess you shouldn't put any expectations whatsoever on SOAD vinyl pressings, since they seem to vary a lot from to .

I might be missing something but the copy I got sounds completely fine, literally nothing wrong with it. Also, the cover being slightly pixelated isn't really an issue for me at all lmao
-
IDK, mine one sounds great, especially in comparison with the recent Toxicity reissue. I enjoyed listening to it. Cover is just a stretched picture from cd I think))
-
Pretty good pressing, could be a bit more dynamic but only marginal inner groove distortion on my copy
-
Edited 4 years agoIncredibly high inner-groove distortion + my copy was warped. Returned it to the store, waiting for a new one.
Artwork was probably scaled by someone visualy impaired being pixelated like crazy.
Worst pressing I've bought in a while. -
Good mastering, terrible inner groove distortion. Artwork is atrocious, the original CD is beautifully embossed.
Poor quality control, what a wasted opportunity.
