Notes

Top Rim: M.G.M. RECORDS LTD.
Side 1/2: MGM/MGM
Label text is brighter/ shinier with layout very slightly different to that shown on The Mothers - Freak Out! - 'made under licence...' text is finer, Verve logo has sharper edges, 'sold in U.K. ...' text is lower down. Publishing year is given as 1966, but the UK version was apparently issued in March 1967.

Does anyone know the story on this variant with M.G.M rather than E.M.I on the label? Is it just a change in the organisation? Since it's never been sold and only 32 people have it, this variant is rarer than the usual UK mono. It also has a v slightly different label design, and G 1 and A 1 mother /stamper codes, so is a later pressing than G 1 / G 1. Logically that means there should be R 1 pressings out there, unless they had problems with the length of side 2 - even with the edited Trouble Comin' Every Day it's about 24 mins.
