Are there any Vinyl versions of the Alive 2007 encore with human after all/together/one more time/music sounds better with you out there except the on limited edition?
love the mix but I did not find it anywhere and don´t want to pay 200€ just for one extra vinyl.

I was surprised when I heard this. I thought their 3 studio albums were trash but this is good even though it's live recording. sounds like they're 10x better live than in the studio.

I am probably one of the only persons on earth to be a little more critical towards 'Alive 2007'. Like many others, I went to see the show (Montreal) with little on my mind. I already saw the whole performance on You Tube from precedent dates, and had no special expectations.
I knew that all the tracks from their three albums were mashed-up together to a level where they were sometimes barely recognizable. For those like me who did not like 'Human After All', it seemed like another way to push it down my throat, a little bit without my consent.
I wonder if an exact performance of their three opus, one after another, would have been preferable. I thought about Pink Floyd playing 'Dark Side Of The Moon' integrally in their shows; why not Daft Punk. But, it was not the concept.
A lot of people in the audience were just ridiculous. Some people left after the big tunes like 'Around The World' because they felt there was nothing else to be played. Some others thought it was some sort of 'Rave party' and came dressed accordingly with pills hidden in their underwears. A lot of these didn't knew anything about electronic music in general and just came back to their homes after the show to slip a CD of Céline Dion in their players. Dementia always ends.
The encore contained the famous 'Together'. Nobody recognized the tune. Some didn't even knew Stardust comprised Thomas Bangalter.
Finally, who on earth could convince me that the two guys standing in that pyramid were Bangalter & De Christo? They could have been the actors of Electroma: nobody would have ever notice. That is the other side of their anonymous status.
Nobody ever convinced me that the music was played live. I think the whole thing could have been pre-recorded and just played with the two robots mimicking the technicity. No offense, it doesn't bother me much: electronic music have limits. But there was absolutely no difference from what I have heard on You Tube, and what I heard that night at Molson Center. Not a single note.
I think that in general, reactions towards this show are greatly overrated. If you have been in a big dicotheque, or in a huge show before, there is no big difference with what happened in 'Alive 2007': a bunch of lights, loud music, huge crowd. That's about it.
I left the show after the encore, and was unable to tell if I was satisfied with it or not. And it's still the same today. I'm mixed up and puzzled, and still think people should probably be more critical about what they saw.
I hearing Felix Da Housecat saying in an interview (talking about the anonymous aspect of their persona): 'This is the exact opposite of what they should be doing. They should help us to put a face on Electronic music! This is what we need!'. All of this leaves me thinking, and thinking. And in the end, I just don't know what to think.

Back with a revised set from 2006, this performance is tighter than ever. In fact, it's arguably the best set they have ever recorded. Beautifully arranged from start to finish, the duo manage to build this incredible vibe and energy, then sustain the excitement with the crowd throughout the live set!

What makes this so fabulous is the fact that no two bars are the same, the DJs are constantly evolving and progressing the samples as well as blending everything together with the various EQs. This is especially true of "Prime Time Of Your Life / Brainwasher / Rollin' And Scratchin' / Alive", which is so expertly mixed that someone who has never heard Daft Punk would not be able to distinguish how may tracks were mixed together, despite them spanning two or three albums and house music styles.

The ending manages to stay climatic even though the amount of energy in the performance is at an extreme level anyway.

Now, the extra track is worth the money, especially if you're a die hard fan of these two artists. The encore is a mix of Stardust's "Music Sounds Better With You" with the vocals from "One More Time" laid over the top and, my favourite Roulé track, Bangalter & Falcon's "Together", in which Daft Punk play the synths to live from the pyramid.

The video, however, is a very slight disappointment because of the quality, this is understandable though, as it was filmed on handycams be various of the audience. The video keeps the live energy and will bring back fond memories for who ever has seen them live.

The booklet is nice too, but the main special feature in this package is the extra track.
