Wow, what an amazing sounding pressing. Well defined, clear and huge drums. Bernie Grundman has done it again!

All it needs is "Slide (Slidin' The Blues). If the box set is the superstore, this is the bodega. It's small, but cram- packed, easy to get to, and probably has what you need.

Excellent sound and pressing quality. This a great double LP to have as an alternative to the insanely comprehensive 15 LP box set. It includes the longer and more complete of the two versions of "Lost in the future" (not including the couple of 'false starts' ) included in the box set. The other version (take 3) is probably a more solid and punchier performance, but it cuts off before the end of the song. All of the other 'alternative takes' are very good choices ; as far as having to narrow down the vast amount takes to fit on one LP.

I just purchased what I presume is the 2021 repress of Fun House, including a second disc of outtakes. This store recently stocked this sealed album and it looks brand new, with zero shelf wear, so I presume it’s a 2021(?) repress, not the 2013 2-LP . . . or maybe not?! Evidently, Disc 1’s matrices (British engineer Pete Norman’s initials and same numbers) also match those of the 2017 repress on orange w/black smoke vinyl, made for US, UK, and European markets. So the 2013, 2017 and 2021 issues are the same, all cut by Pete Norman.
(Discogs entries for the 2005 for-UK and the 2005 for-EU reissues, however, do not indicate matrices. So ‘not sure if Pete Norman cut those, too.) -
ALERT! Has been repressed in 2021. Dont pay more than ~£20 for this. Dont feed the filthy flippin flippers!
