I love stoner rock, doom anything, but usually just live. This delivers in a way a love concert would, with the benefit of studio tracking. Badass album! -
Doom metal/stoner rock at its absolute finest. Sleep's one-hour ode to marijuana is one of the genre's most respected and well-liked titles. This pressing is gorgeous, both visually and audibly: the colors are vibrant and the tie-die styled swirls make for great contrast (on both the orange and blue vinyls). The sound quality is top-notch, with Sleep's signature sludgy guitar riffs and killer, shredding solos, heavy bass lines, and incredible percussion all well equalized. The few vocals on the album are gold, lyrically as well as sound-wise. Recommended for any fan of hard rock.
