I have just heard, that there is a recent (end 2024 - early 2025) replica bootleg of this LP. Said to be very limited. If someone has it, please add it as a separate release, but more importantly, let me know, I want to buy it. :-)

referencing Deathcrush (12", 33 ⅓ RPM, EP, Picture Disc, Reissue) BOBV496PD

This is the first picture disc I’ve ever purchased, due to the notoriously bad sound quality that comes with them. I found this second hand for quite cheap so figured why not.

I’m actually surprised — sure the noise floor is quite high — but the actual sound quality isn’t all that bad. Baring in mind I can’t compare to an OG, or even non-picture disc. This pressing sounds quite acceptable to me?

The sleeve is obviously trash and a haven for static so I’d recommend swapping that out as soon as possible.

I would be interested in hearing the opinion of somebody who can compare this to other pressings of Deathcrush or other picture discs in general.
