Iggy Pop – Blah-Blah-Blah

The production is very much of its time, but the tunes are great. I've always loved this record.

80s Iggy is the best. If you don’t get it readjust your expectations. The man’s a true poet.

I’ve always liked this album. In fact it’s the only Iggy album I like and own. Fire Girl and Isolation are my two favorite songs.

Forgettable album, pretty much the American version of David Bowie’s output at the same period.

Just noticed that this pressing has the full length version of "Shades" - the US version cuts it off at 5:17, while the German version is the same length as on the CD.

Must be time for a remaster with all the 12" remix versions added.

Avoided this after hearing it when it was released, but recently picked up a cheap copy. You know what, it's not so bad. The production is very eighties (everything massive, everything polished), but makes sense when you realise David Bowie had a hand in it (think Tonight & Lets Dance), but that's no bad thing. Incredibly thin vinyl, like a flexi-disc, but sounds very good. Just goes to show what a sales gimmick the myth that 180g vinyl is better truly is.

Iggy Pop returned with this album, and honestly it is not bad at all..

Recently acquired a vinyl copy and was bemused by the fact that "Shades" is almost 40 seconds shorter than on CD version
