This is an underrated album in my opinion. It's definitely a transitional album, but has some really good tracks in the vein of their previous two albums. It's worth a listen.

Steve Hackett released his first solo album post-Genesis "Please Don't Touch" just two weeks after ATTWT. A bit of overload for fans, would probably have been wise by Charisma to spread the releases somewhat more, to not overshadow each other.

Il primo album senza la chitarra Hackett. Banks sempre di più il leader assoluto specie sotto il profilo compositivo. Gli arrangiamenti senza l'.apporto di Hackett sono meno complessi del ato e prendono una forma più "canzone", con impatto immediato e ballate romantiche e melanconiche. Qui troviamo uno dei pezzi più famosi di quegli anni e della loro carriera Follow you Follow me scaturita durante una jam di gruppo e con testo scritto da Rutherford.

Compared to the 1978 UK & original pressings, I find the sound of these DMM reissues (there is also that one from a year earlier) to be the best for this album - they're cut quieter, but adjusting volume will reveal a shinier sound and better sounding, more forward vocals.

As a matter of personal taste, and in my Hi-Fi equipment, I'm not very happy with the EQ choices used for this remaster. Phil Collin's voice is sibilant (compared to my original UK pressing) and the mid-range is congested. It sounds great on the quieter ages though. The pressing is excellent, and the vinyl is dead quiet.
