I have this version but with the printed inner sleeve..

My copy is translucent red with marbles. Marbles is only visible when holding the record against light. It sounds excellent.

One of my favorite albums of all time!! Picked this up for a decent price ($30) from an online seller, and I'm VERY happy with how it sounds. I don't have an original pressing to compare it to, but it sounds great -- clear, in great stereo in true Rick Rubin style (he has a specific pan and sound, if you know what to listen for), and plenty of volume level in the master/cut.
Rumor is, (and kind of always has been with all of the bootlegs/unofficials from GD's various projects) that this and many of the other unofficial vinyl releases out there are actually being done by GD himself.
I believe this could be true, especially since (IIRC) the songwriter gets distribution rights back from whomever owns them at the time after 30 years. Not sure, but this is a great copy, in a sick little blue color!

Great pressing. Sounds actually really good. No bad noise or anything. Sounds crisp

Plays with some surface noise and pops, but overall it's a good copy. It'll definitely need a good cleaning, and I'd recommend getting it if you don't want to pay the high price for an official pressing.

Why they changed the cover to the chest and cross one?

Wow this album sounds good! Dead silent vinyl, one of the better sounding OG's I have heard in this genre.

I opened this up and was greeted with thin strands of pink vinyl, vinyl dust, rough edge, and upon looking at the wax depressed pock marks. I said to myself, "Shit, this is gonna suck!" However, after a thorough cleaning, it is a flat slab, almost completely silent background (Side B track 1 and into 2, a bit more cleaning and play may cut through the clicks) has a few loud clicks, the cover good/solid with satin finish, the sound is a little low on the output (but not bad), the mix is actually not bad at all (not tinny, not muddy) a bit of compression but for a Boot, not bad on my modest system...
