Keith Jarrett – Solo Concerts: Bremen / Lausanne

Some serious listening here, yet it never fails to excite, pure pleasure from minute one.

It sounds like there's roughly ~10 seconds between the end of side D and the start of side E that was edited out for the CD releases. It's a series of staccato arpeggiations before the sustained ones ring out. The edit is cleverly hidden at ~22:40 on CD; you'll hear the second part of the right hand phrase is noticably quieter. Anyone else notice this?

Lovely clear and clean pressing. I don't think you can slot Jarrett into any genre. He lies somewhere between jazz and classical. Whatever you classify him in, he is brilliant.
Of this album I prefer the pace of the Lausanne portion to Bremen. But it's all great.
My box was missing the booklet, so I got the collection for only $12. W00t!

Has ECM ever confirmed if this is AAA? I've messaged them and not heard back (not a good sign)...

This RP sounds terrific. not sure who was in charge of the mastering but the dynamics are nice and there are no sonic flaws throughout which of course for such record is paramount. Get a copy if you have the opportunity!

I’m very picky when it comes to the sound of a piano but on this it really sounds fantastic. Overall very great sounding pressing. Recommend

a really wonderful package of one of, to my ears, two of the most mind-blowing and gorgeous concerts ever recorded. I do think the records themselves are kind of noisier in spots than I would have expected, but they don't detract much from this stunning set. the reproduction of the original packaging is really beautiful too. here's hoping ECM drops more of the Jarrett box sets on their "Luminessence" series!

This is music for eternity. It never fails to lift me up. On some recordings, Jarrett is a mere mortal, but this one is amazing, from the beginning to the end. To have achieved something like this ... And now we can here these concerts in better quality than ever. There is no veil between Jarrett and us listeners, the piano seems right in front. The pressing quality is impeccable, as good as any record in the past. Kudos to ECM that they refrain from driving the price up artificially with limited editions (that only make sense with direct-to-disc recordings anyway), colored lps, or similar gimmicks. Highly recommended.

The LP version of this recording has been with me for almost 3 decades, When I recently switched to CD (again), I opted for this version. The sound is fantastic, and much better than the LP version. Minuscule details where -especially in the Lausanne concert- Keith Jarrett totally blends with his piano (roughly from 20:00 to 40:00 minutes) can now be heard as these should be heard. I also love the ‘replica’ LP box.

Mind-blowing. Music lead you new world I haven’t been before like heaven or utopia. And the pressing is perfect. This is not OG 1970s, but German pressing of ECM till 1980s maintain its pressing the highest quality.
