Fantastic pressing. Flat, noise free and ultra quiet.
It's great to hear this fabulous lp without vocals. Gives a whole different meaning to them.
Sorry Johnny but Jah did right releasing this. -

A fantastic album, highly recommended !!! A soundclash meeting of talented musicians ... with lush sounding guitar work from former Siouxsie & The Banshees guitarist Jon Klein and that moody bass of Jah's bounding through each track !
Great production, which sounds great, this album is definitely worth a listen !

No pressing issues on mine, sounds clear as well.
Music wise loving it a lot, interesting to hear certain songs without the vocals (Memories sounds different without them.)
I hear Lydons not happy with this being done but then again he seems to have just become a whinny old git nowadays so hardly unexpected.
A great lp if somewhat updated takes on certain songs. -
Burning Shed in the UK have them again for £32.49. Mine arrived today and they still have them in stock. It says it's a reissue on their site, but the only difference is the inner white sleeves have the right angle corners rather than the rounded ones. Silver vinyl, matrix numbers and serials, barcode are all the same as this. Identical.

Edited 3 years agoWhat's the point, Cleopatra Records? Getting this done and then let the vultures take over? Vinyl sold out in lightspeed and now the sellers are asking stupid prices. Repress this asap, please!

Straight fwd music wise meaning aggressive, clean and sharp like edges of freshly cut sheet metal. Really well done sonically and Jah Wobble dominate dub bass wise he's playing the game Risk and keeps taking your armies and territories roll after dice roll. This is really damn good. My copy though, disc 1 warped a good amount but plays fine. I think the disc was shoved a bit too far into the gatefold jacket the closed then, of course, its a gatefold, so it was closed and shrink wrapped tight which would I believe warp the disc. I bought straight from Cleopatra. Bought the blue version too. It was 2 bucks more. I figured I'd give it to my 79 year old dad who digs Jah. Idk. They all should be Silver to fit the idea of Metal Box. Kinda stupid to have two colors but that's marketing and what do I know except this release kicks ass. Vocals are minimal. Dub is great...its trippy too. Production well done. Nice quiet discs. Quite a bit of static electricity built up. They were difficult to get out of the white paper sleeves and I don't dig these type of sleeves as they tend to paper scratch records. Spin slowly, get some air in those sleeves on removal, transfer after a good quick clean. Had some paper slivers on the discs as well, my copy, of course. Anyone know how limited these are? How many were pressed?
