My copy was perfect , but I wish Craft would stop using the heavy duty inner sleeves . They cling to the vinyl everytime you replace the record , so it won't be long before the pristine vinyl is vg+ .

Cheap edition (AU$24 at Juno & iMusic) on one electric blue and one pastel green disc in a basic sleeve jacket without an insert.

Immodest noise floor that will bother headphone s but becomes more tolerable when Eddie's bass gets going, which is occasionally too loud. The bonus tracks are a nice choice, ending on a more upbeat mood than the base album. Not a bad issue for budget listeners

The only thing I can say about my copy is that it arrived with a huge amount of static buildup. I’ll have to wash it to discharge it. Other than that, it’s a beauty and I’m very happy to have it.

The soundtrack sounds very good: large-scale, deep stage, natural timbres, BUT the noise of the mass is large, the tracks are wide and there is a lot of dirt in them, a huge amount of dirt. I washed the record twice and four times !!! I cleaned the needle with detergent three times !!!

Yes both my records have a slight warp as well, but doesn't seem to effect the sound as far as I can hear. Excellent recording, dynamics, clarity and instrument separation. Nice bass and clear top end. A few ticks on the MASH song but otherwise quiet. Beautifully produced matte finish gatefold cover with excellent liner notes by Marc Myers. I picked it up for a good price on Amazon. Worth every penny.

Since this was released I have tried 5 copies from 3 different retailers, all horribly warped and various ticks. QC is really lacking at RTI. Similar with the AS Bill Evans box set (RTI pressing), at least half discs badly warped and took 3 or 4 goes to get an acceptable set.

Brilliant sound quality, dead quiet wax. Bought it sealed from new in 2024.

The second the needle went down I heard non-stop low-level ticks and crackle. Totally unacceptable with music this quiet and exposed. Ran the records through the Humminguru a few more times, but no improvement. Time for a return. What a shame, this record sounds amazing...the piano tone is sheer beauty.

UPDATE: I returned my copy and got a second copy. Ran thru the ultrasonic cleaner 3x and still nonstop ticking noises during the quiet parts of the music. I decided to return for a refund and give up on this pressing. I'm sure someone else will reissue this record at some point in the future...I just hope it sounds as great as this one but with quiet surfaces.

Wow. Gotta be in my top 3 45rpm records! Quiet, flat, dynamic.... holographic! Pure genius mix/master and the playing is magical. Soooo worth getting up every 10min to flip. I can't imagine a better pressing of this title.
