this was a beautiful reissue from 2015 of this 1965 dutch classic.......... this was obviously the debut album by Q65.... for 1965 this s still had a bit of a garage sound with a very stonsey feel to it w/ some good blues thrown in, not quite all out garage like there singles some of wich appeared on there final lp in 1969 revival... anyway this nice MOV reissue is pressed on 140 gram GOLD vinyl and for a color vinyl lp this sounds great like most all MOV releases do, this was pressed in the netherlands..... great dutch 60s classic as Q65 where one of the best to come out of hollands beat scene....

Mine version doesn’t have the round Fidelity logo above the DECCA label. The rest is identical. Has someone the same? -

The Dutch Q65 picked up and developed rhythm and blues so successfully that in some places they sounded no worse than the Rolling Stones and certainly more interesting than Pretty Things. The band was born in the mid-60s and professed a "dirty" garage sound. All four of the first singles hit the local charts. It was natural to release the album after a resounding success, which was done. The revolution cd consolidated the fame of the Dutch rockers, and the musicians went on tour with their heads. According to the band's bassist Peter Wink, they approached the recording of the next album terribly tired and quarreled. But it was necessary to fulfill contractual obligations to the Decca record label. Ten new tracks were recorded, some of the material was written as a side project called Circus (a typical hippie formation led by guitarist Frank Nuens). In addition to the rhythm and blues square, the musicians added several successful compositions in a psychedelic way: "I was young", "Sundance", "Traveling on a slow train" and a completely flying ballad of the Fairy Tale of Truth. -

Great album by a great band, but beware of this pressing: The sound quality is terrible. -

For track 17 'I Was Young ' was used instead of 'From Above'. Do all copies have that or was it corrected later on?
